All Saints Sunday

Posted by Pastor Scott Schantzenbach on October 31, 2025

This Sunday, we gather in remembrance and joyful hope for All Saints Day. This will be a time to honor the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us in faith. These are the saints known and unknown, named in our hearts and carved into the life of our congregation. Some we remember with tears, others with laughter, all with gratitude.

All Saints is not just a memorial—it’s a celebration of the communion we share across time and space. In Christ, we are bound together with those who have died and those yet to be born. Their stories shape ours. Their faith strengthens ours. Their legacy calls us to live boldly, love deeply, and serve faithfully.

During worship, we will light candles and speak names aloud, trusting that God holds each one in eternal light. We will sing hymns of resurrection, read scriptures of promise, and proclaim that death does not have the final word—God does.

This year, as we walk through seasons of transition, All Saints reminds us that we are never alone. The saints surround us. The Holy Spirit sustains us. And Jesus leads us forward.
